Uncorking the potential of the China wine market
China's demand for wine has grown at an exponential rate over the pastdecade. Today, China is the 9th largest wine market by volume. In the first5 months of 2008 China imported 84.89 million litres of wine, an increase of10.3% y-o-y and in values terms China's wine market increased to US$310million, up a massive 49.1% y-o-y. The value of China's wine imports isexpected to reach US$870 million by 2017.
